COMMON QUESTIONS
Q: Can I/we have two different programs under one membership?
A: The Convenience Loan Program can be either a single or Joint plan. Even if you have a joint membership, you may select to have a single program. If you’d like two separate programs, multiple memberships will be needed.
Q: How do I request a future advance?
A: You can contact the credit union in person, by phone, or electronically to request a loan advance.
Q: Do we both need to contact the credit union if we’d like an advance on our joint program?
A: No, when a joint program is signed, both parties acknowledge that either is authorized to take an advance without notification of the other. We will require current and accurate information for both joint owners.
Q: Does the Convenience Loan Program ever expire?
A: No, the program never expires; however, it can be terminated by the credit union or either party on the program or superseded by a newly signed program.
Q: If I opt out of loan protection products when initiating the Convenience Loan Program, can I have them on future advances?
A: If you opted out of loan protection products when the program was initiated, but later wanted it on a future advance, separate paperwork would be completed. However, if you opted into the above products when the program was initiated, but did not want the above products, a simple form is completed to exclude those products from subsequent advances.
